I joined the Bennett Lab in June 2023 as a summer student, then transitioned to a Lab Technician in September 2023. I graduated from Chapman University in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in biological sciences and a minor in psychology. During my time in undergrad, I worked as a research assistant in the Computational Analysis of Health Behavior Lab at Chapman, the Institute for Interdisciplinary Brain and Behavioral Sciences at Chapman, and in the Southern California intertidal zones doing marine biology field work on owl limpets. Since joining the Bennett Lab, I have become proficient in immunohistochemical procedures as well as harvesting, processing, imaging, and analyzing brain tissue using various equipment and computer programs. In the future, I plan to go to graduate school for a PhD, continue research, and eventually become a college professor.
